i havnt found much about this on the internet but can a school administrator (principal) search a student if someone said they hade cigarettes or weed on them?

They can only search the bag...not the person

If one would not have either on those in School then you would never have too worry about it. Right?

Plus bringing either of those into school is the most retarded thing to do, if your going to do that might as well walk in with a fifth of whiskey as well.

i didnt ask if it was smart or not i asked if the administrator's can search a student

Yeah they would have to call the police to search you. They can only do your bag/locker

the law varies state to state..but in most cases yes . as the student is the property of the school .while in the school during school hours until the student returns home after school is ended for the day
